Mitten Tree and Giving Tree

The Mitten Tree

From November 21 through December 13th we will be collecting, especially for children and the homeless:

  • NEW hats, gloves, scarves and socks – for boys, girls and teens
  • NEW gloves (especially water-resistant ones) and NEW socks – for homeless men and women

We will also collect cash donations to be put toward Target gift cards for parents in the most needy families to do a little Christmas shopping for their children.  Please leave donated items under the Mitten Tree located in the Our Lady of Fatima Church vestibule.

Cash donations may be put in the collection baskets at either church – please mark “Mitten Tree” on the envelope.

All donations are for the Harlem community served by the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal.

The Giving Tree

Please take a star tag from our Giving Tree at the St. Joseph’s Altar in Annunciation Church on Saturday, December 5th (after the 5 PM Mass) and Sunday, December 6th. Please return your wrapped gift (with the star tag attached) to the LOWER CHURCH no later than 12/13.  Please place your gift in the color-coded section that coincides with the ribbon color on your tag.  If you feel uncomfortable in any way with this process but would still like to participate, please contact Diane Vezza at 914-536-1730 or dianevezza@gmail.com and assistance will be provided.  Thank you for your continued generosity and kind spirit especially during such difficult times when so many families are in need.

The Annunciation-Our Lady of Fatima family is always so generous and giving.  We thank you so very much.
